Current breeding list 10/2018

I frequently get the question as to what species I am currently breeding. To avoid endless copy-pasting I will post a a breeding list every once in a while. Here's the update for this fall:

Cetonidae:
Anisorrhina flavomaculata
Cetonia aurata ssp aurata
Dicronorrhina micans
Dicronorrhina derbyana ssp oberthuri
Dicronorrhina derbyana ssp conradsi
Eudicella gralli ssp allaeri
Eudicella tetraspolata ssp euthalia
Gymnetis pantherina ssp meleagris
Mecynorhina polyphemus ssp confluens
Mecynorhina torquata ssp ugandensis
Protaetia speciossissima
Protaetia (potosia) affinis
Protaetia (potosia) fieberi
Protaetia (potosia) cuprea ssp cuprea
Protaetia (potosia) cuprea ssp obscura
Protaetia (potosia) cuprea ssp cuprea x ssp obscura (experimental)
Protaetia (eupotosia) mirfica
Protaetia marmorata (ex liocola lugubris)
Stephanorrhina julia

Protaetia (potosia) affinis. Beauties from central Italy.

Lucanidae:
Cyclommatus metallifer ssp finae

Dynastidae:
Megasoma elephas ssp elephas.

At a recent fair I also got note of people that bought beetles but didn't acquire proper care instructions from the seller. A message to all who want to buy beetle larvae or adults: if the seller doesn't give you proper instructions on how to breed a certain species, the seller is only involved because he wants to earn money. Don't support people like that, don't buy from them! Selling an animal brings the responsibility to make sure the animals are taken care of correctly, and that the customer can enjoy their animals for longer than one futile beetle life :)

Regards!
